IMPACT® Enters Into Contract With NYS DCJS

October 2009 - Farmingdale, NY

IMPACT, a dba of Admit Computer Services, Inc., announced today that it has entered into an agreement with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (NY DCJS) to create an interface to the NY-DEX information sharing system.

IMPACT, the leader in Information Sharing technology in New York State, will be creating this NIEM compliant data exchange model interface and has also agreed to provide this functionality to its client base as part of this arrangement. According to Christine Tyler, Project Director for DCJS, IMPACT is the only private sector firm to be part of this initiative at this time.

NY DCJS and the FBI have an arrangement whereby local participants can access data on the state or federal level based on specific procedures and regulations once a Memorandum of Understanding is in place. The IMPACT interface would permit IMPACT clients to contribute data and take part in this information sharing initiative on both the state and federal level in addition to the expanded data sharing abilities of the IMPACT Data Sharing network.

Local law enforcement seeking additional information should contact Christine Tyler at the NY Division of Criminal Justice Services.
