IMPACT Opens Product Development Facility in Charlotte, North Carolina

Charlotte, N.C.

New York State-based Public Safety software and intelligence provider, IMPACT, has opened a facility in Charlotte, N.C., their first location outside of New York State. All of IMPACT's product development functions have been moved to Charlotte and will be led by Vice President of Technology, Gary Sperduto.

"Separating our support and development functions will allow Gary and his research and development team to focus on developing new product lines, while our engineering team, still based out of our New York headquarters, will focus on enhancing existing products," says Dennis Labriola, President and CEO of IMPACT.

"We're excited to be moving into Charlotte and look forward to being able to tap into the wealth of IT talent in North Carolina," said Sperduto. "Being able to have a dedicated product development facility means our team can focus solely on developing the new functionalities and technology tools for our clients that IMPACT is known for."

Sperduto's R & D team is currently working on the next generation of IMPACT's VCAD (Visual Computer Aided Dispatch) system due out early in 2009 and adding new voice activation technology to IMPACT's wireless Mobile product. Additionally, the team is developing a system specifically designed for campus police and security based on IMPACT's hallmark product for public safety records management and dispatch.

On December 1, IMPACT opened its R & D office in the Ballantyne Corporate Park located at 15800 John J. Delaney Drive, Suite 110 Charlotte, N.C. 28277.
