Farmingdale NY- February 23, 2010
Mount Pleasant Police Department in New York recently ran a Mobile Ticketing report from 2009 and compared it to 2010 UTT’s the results were incredible, there was a huge increase. From November 2008- February 2009 they issued 379. From November 2009 to February 2010 they issued 844 tickets that is a 465 ticket difference. It more than doubled!
“Dispatchers at the PD are very excited about the IMPACT: Mobile Ticketing product because it has enabled them to do other tasks since they don’t need to enter tickets anymore”, stated Lt. Brian Fanelli. IMT has also limited the amount of risk in the field for the Patrolmen reducing the time it takes with each violator. IMT is completely automated. The user simply scans the UTT code on the registration and the system does the rest. The increased speed and accuracy of generating the ticket results in a lower ticket dismissal due to defect rate and increases the ability of the enforcement officer to generate more tickets, thus increasing potential revenues. Critical time is saved since the manual entry of the information necessary to issue a ticket is minimized.
Mount Pleasant Police Department currently runs 7 Mobile ticketing devices and is in the process of adding 6 more for a total of 13.
