E911 Interface

E911 imports the caller's name, number and location (ANI/ALI) data from phone company records directly into the application. E911 utilizes an RS-232 connection between phone company equipment and the VCAD server and enables rapid, accurate dispatching of required units. If the address for the call for service is the subscriber’s address, pressing one key will automatically enter that information to the proper field on the screen.

The data is displayed either on the event screen (Blotter/Event Log) or the Visual Computer Aided Dispatch, VCAD screen. Because IMPACT® links all the information in every module system-wide, historical information on the person or location is immediately accessed and available to the dispatcher, enabling informed decisions regarding the allocation of manpower and resources.
